Easy step by step instructions for Broken Glass Jelly Slice.

Hi everyone.

I thought I would post some very easy step by step instructions on how to make the Broken Glass Jelly Slice, as shown in my recent  blog post..

A lovely lady (Ashleigh) from a dog forum I belong too,  has adapted this recipe to suit us Aussies:) All instructions and photos have been taken by, and are the the property of Ashleigh. Please do not use/download/copy any of her images without her written permission, thank you;)

*Instructions are at the bottom of each pic....

Step 1: The ingredients - gelatine, a can of condensed milk and 4 packets of jelly

Step 2: Mix each packet of jelly into 200mL boiling water (I adjusted the recipe from the suggested 250mL).

Step 3: Pour the jelly into a plastic dish (the Decor 500mL containers are perfect).

Step 4: Repeat for the remaining 3 jelly flavours! Allow to set in fridge (approx 3 hours).

Step 5: Sprinkle 1.5 tablespoons of gelatine into half a cup of cold water. Wait for the gelatine to bloom (approx 3 mins).

Step 6: Add 1.5 cups of boiling water, stir to mix. Then add the can of condensed milk. Allow to cool.

Step 7: Turn the jelly out onto a chopping board and slice into cubes.

Step 8: Pour the condensed milk mixture into a 9" x 13" Pyrex dish. Add the jelly cubes.

Step 9: Gently stir the jelly cubes to mix up the colours. Then into the fridge to set!

The view from below... ain't it purdy?!

It's currently in the fridge setting, so you will have to wait until tomorrow for the final pics biggrin.gif

A tip by Ashleigh is : The Decor 500mL 'Tell-Fresh' containers are perfect! And if you dip the bottom in a dish of slightly warm water, the jelly just slides right out

The end result ....

''Even looks great upside down'' !''

Well done Ashleigh, looks very pretty !!
