Meet the newest addition to our pet family 'Leroy'

Leroy is very handsome Ragdoll cat that we have lovingly adopted  from our good friends who have had him roaming about on their 140 acre property! So he is now slowly adjusting to a normal size house as an indoor cat. It will take time, and eventually he will be allowed outside in the cat run for some  periods of time.

He is about 3 (they apparently don't fully mature until they are about 4!) I believe he is a seal point bi colour Raggie. He has also been responsibly desexed.

He's still a quite unsettled so he looks upset in this pic, at having had a camera going off in his face so soon.

He's very cuddly! and even sleeps sometimes  for a while on my husband's head  (unbeknown to him  ) He wondered why he had woken up with a head full of white hair ! 

Joey our young Cavalier is totally smitten with him, won't stop licking him!

Even our bunny has come up and sniffed Leroy's nose LOL!

The only one in the household that's not impressed by his presence is our cat Karma, but she stays outside mostly during the day in her cat run.

I will try to get some nicer pics of him when he settles in more and is happier, as he is truly gorgeous

I feel very chuffed that his lovely former owner chose us to be his new forever home !! 

He's just so gentle and affectionate compared to our Karma, and purrs real loud !

He is settling in a lot better now (not using Rescue  Remedy) anymore, altho I don't think it was doing much anyway lol). He still wants to go out at night, and will occasionally knock everything off tables etc to see if he can LOL.  He knocked my camera on the floor about a week ago eek!

But the howling all night has defiantly calmed down now ! 

He does have a funny time for playing tho, like about 3am in the morning LOL

He's now confident with sleeping on the bed for short periods of time with us and the Cavs, and will even go to sleep on hubby's head ( when he's asleep!) hehe

He loves cat talking, Karma has never done that, and he's more snugglier than Karma, and won't scratch you if u pat him for longer periods ! 

Re Karma and Leroy..

I am very surprised that she has not struck out/chased him with how she is ( she did strike just once and scratched his nose a tiny bit). It's funny to watch them together. Karma will plonk herself down somewhere close to him and stare at where he sitting/laying.. The worse she's been doing is hissing at him.

The other night Karma was eating her tea on the laundry basin (that we have set up to be where they eat.. it has a board on top of it) and next Leroy jumped up on top right next to her !! lol Karma was not impressed at all, and jumped down! They will share the same kitty litter container, which I am surprised about!

I don't think Karma will ever be best buddies with him, but at least she's letting him share the house with her, which I was bit worried about ! No problems with him being around our indoor bunny (who is head of the pack here anyway!)and Joey and Renae.

So all is good here !

Will post some pics altho they are very quick snapshots, as he's still getting used to being chased around by a camera LOL

He's getting really confident being around me and DH, but if we have visitors come, he will run and stay under the bed till they go!
