My First Attempt At Making 'Broken Glass Jelly Slice'..

I've renamed mine as  'Jules smashed glass rainbow jelly slice'

Anyway this is Not how it is supposed to turn out like !  LOL

I came across the recipe in a thread on a forum I regularly visit. Most of  us ladies on there have attempted to  make our own version, as found in a very impressive blog. Here is how it's supposed to look ! 'The Food Librarian Blog'

Still it was my first time, and the main thing it does taste delicious ! It's a bit messy and time consuming to make, but worth it if you have kids, or for putting out at a party. (with a particular colour theme)

*By the way if you have a Woolworths supermarket where you are, they currently have a special on with three tins of condense milk for $6 ! Not sure when the special ends.

* I will be putting up some easy step by step directions and pics on how to make this jelly slice for those of you who may be  finding the one in the other blog (that I put up the link to the recipe), and are from Australia, a bit hard to follow re.ingredients and measurements.

Here's another variation of the  Broken Glass recipe

  1. Oh, the colours look fabulous. I like the angle of the shot, too. How it is supposed to look like is amazing, but your effort is still great!

  2. Thank you Jen!:)

I wonder tho if the person who made those amazing ones in their blog, experienced some total flops before she uploaded the final perfect photos of them! LOL

  3. Good effort for the first go Jules! I reckon I am going to give it a trial run this weekend, before I make an orange and blue one for my party.

I will let you know how my efforts turn out.
