I have had ongoing recurring UTI's for weeks now. I have been taking different antibiotics, have had an ultrasound, which didn't reveal anything. I have clearly had ongoing infections, but my Doctor can't work out why I am having so many problems. I am now on another very strong antibiotic for complicated UTI's, and if these ones don't clear it, my Doctor will refer me to a gyno. I have to go back in 3 weeks time to see him.
I have been experiencing lower stomach pain from well before Christmas, followed by all the side effects of past antibiotics, including the current one (I keep feeling hot all over and in my veins!) It hasn't helped my tinnitus. It has made it worse! I am also a diabetic type 2, which isn't making me feel any better on top of it all! I have had something recently occur because of these UTI's which has been a concern as well. But it's meant to be all related, so I keep getting told!
Anyway today I have felt extremely flustered, in pain, nauseas, very alone and scared. I don't have any back up support except for my husband (who is currently working), and my parents (but they are away for a week).
Luckily I am surrounded by our pets, my laptop, camera and lots of panadol (and food for comfort eating) . No chocolate tho ! LOL
I thought I would share some of the photos I have taken today to help pass the time away, keeping myself distracted and at the same time play with this online editing program I am trying out. I am not patient or adventurous enough to get into photoshop and the likes of those type programs, but Picnik is fun and easy to use, and has quite a few features for a basic online editing program. I am tempted to even pay the ($27 Aus dollar when converted) a year payment to subscribe to even a few more features :)
I hope my photos will put a smile on your faces, as it has mine. Enjoy ! (You should be able to click on these images to make them larger) :)
Look what happened when I left the couch for a few secs to grab something! Luckily there was only a little bit of slurps at the bottom of the cup phewww! Excuse her scruffy demeanor atm, she's in badly need of a good brush! Hmmm not quite looking like the Princess that she is, atm ;-)
Awwwww Joey what do you want? I know hmmm you wanted that biscuit I was holding up for Pepsi (in the background) to come and grab. Shall we tell everyone who ended up with it ? ;-)

Here's the handsome Leroy letting me take a cute pic of him so I could try out a basic orten effect with the online editing program I am currently experimenting with. Thankyou Leroy, you did well!

I love these tiny little flowers/succulents. I think they are called Portulacas (I may have spelt them wrong). I have one lot in a garden bed, and another lot waiting to be planted in a planter box. There are so many other colours among what I have taken a photo of. I'll try to take some more when my hands are less shaky :)
Lastly let me tempt your taste buds with some Apricot and Cinnamon Pastry Puffs I have just finished cooking. My husband loves these! He will have icecream with them (but I will need to go and get some first!) LOL
They are very easy to make. I just blend up some tinned apricots in a bowl with some cinnamon (not our cockatiel hehe) sugar. (make sure you drain most of the juice tho first), and occasionally I add puree apples to the mix as well! (or do up separate ones). I then place a small spoonful of the mixture onto the the pastry (which I have cut up into square shapes), then fold in the corners (not perfectly), and put them into a pre heated oven (about 180 degrees..my oven is an older type). Then bake them for about 20 mins or until crispy and golden brown. You can serve them warm, or cold with cream, custard or icecream, or all three! LOL
See you next blog post ! xxxx
