I thought I would turn this blog post into a shameless plug for a site I have some of my photos for sale on !
Since moving here to Goolwa, I have been trying to overcome my depression problems, tinnitus, and my chronic health issues as most of my regular blog readers would be aware of.
I wish I had some positive news in that department to share with you all, but I have none unfortunately :(
However I did make a pact with myself that once we moved, I would really make a huge effort to get out of the house more, and try to interact with the community. (baby steps of course!)
So I have ...
*Completed a 8 week basic photography course (yes I know how to take photos, but it has helped me to build up some confidence again! :)
* Enrolled in a 3 week 'Bean Cuisine cooking course (which I thoroughly enjoyed, and was left inspired for new meal ideas using lentils, legumes etc!)
* Started seeing a new Social Worker (who is very practical, than just being all talk!)
* About to attend a craft and create group once a week -ongoing (where people get together to be creative and meet other like minded people)
I have also worked up the nerve to start uploading some of my images to a photography site RedBubble.com, where you can put them up for sale (and interact with other photographers) See below for info on my RedBubble Site :)
I created the account a few years ago, but then shortly after lost many of my original size photos when I unfortunately hadn't backed up my work, and my hard drive died on another laptop of mine. Was very heartbreaking ! To make the best use of this particular site, you need to upload photos of high quality resolution.(so you really need the original sizes!)
Even tho photography is a hobby I am very passionate about, I would like to start contributing to our household , and hopefully start making name for myself (something that has gotten me down for a long time now with not actively working, or doing anything really worthwhile, apart from being a housewife).
Hopefully this is the beginning of a new chapter in my life for me !
Please feel welcome to take a look at my photos when you have time, and to leave comments/feedback.. I will be adding new images over time, so if interested in my work please bookmark my page, or add me to your watch list (if you are a member on there).I'm not sure if it will automatically update in here, but my latest work can be found here also.
I have the word verification function enabled to my blogs post now (not that I want too), but lately I have been getting too many spammers leaving inappropriate comments/links under my posts :(
Thank you for taking the time to view and read my posts !
Jules :)

Amazing photos, Jules. I admire how you are pushing forward amidst all your challenges. I have had my fair share of depression, and know how hard it can be. Thanks for sharing your talent!
ReplyDelete@Erin Davis Thank you so much Erin, I appreciate your kind words. It's a horrible thing isn't it depression, but we keep pushing ahead don't we.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely compliment of my photos. I have since added some more :)
